So here's my obligatory yearly update. >.<;

I have graduated from college with a Bachelors in Accounting and after going for a while being unemployed last year I finally found a job. It started out as being a temp job but I was recently hired as a full time salaried employee! This new position has allowed me to get a new camera, lenses, and accessories in anticipation on traveling to Croatia in a few weeks! I have not had a whole lot of time to learn and get to know my new camera yet though because my job and life things take up most of my time. But hopefully I can learn on the fly during the trip XD. 

So that is about all I can muster myself to really write right now, I will be uploading some photos and lurking around for a bit. I always enjoy comments and favs, they warm the cockles of my heart

So I haven't updated my journal in over a year and I thought it was about time XD

I got a hedgehog in late September and I love her like I would my child (probably more so ><) She is the most adorable thing and she makes me happy every time I see her and play with her. She's a wonderful cuddle buddy and makes a great late night study partner. Her name is Demeter (Demi for short) this is because I have a snake named Hermes and I wanted to keep with the Greek mythology inspired names
Other life things are that I'm in my last semester of college and so thrilled to be graduating in May, I have a part-time job at a museum that I love because I basically get paid to do my homework, and I have a wonderful loving boyfriend of 3 years that spoils me.

In other news I have a new photography page on Facebook that I'm trying to get started and going, please go like it! It'll make me feel warm and fuzzy inside :3

I also have recently started the photography project Assignment 365 on Facebook, this is where they give you a list of subjects for every day of the year and you try to take photos for that days subject and post it to Facebook. I have really enjoyed it because it forces me to take out my camera every day or every other day and get my creative juices flowing. I feel like it will make me a better photographer because it's making me think and use my camera everyday. I will probably be posting some of my better pictures from the project here on Facebook, so keep an eye out! :3

So it's been awhile since I've updated this thing so I'll sum things up.
   I'm now at a different school with a new major.
   I am taking summer courses.
   I got a job on campus at the school. It's great
   I'm also working on weekends as a field scout.
   Where I live it pretty much hasn't rained since January 1st and it's been over 100 degrees for multiple days. D=
   There's a statewide ban on fireworks in Texas(where I live) this year, and it makes me sad.
   I joined a photography club and am really enjoying it
   I recently sold my first ever 2 pictures and it felt amazing
   I have been into taking pictures of people lately, but I'm the only one who will model for me.
   I have lots of pictures I need to post.
Currently at this moment my ear hurts a lot
And that's pretty much it, I'll be posting stuff soon!

Alright so I haven't been active on DeviantArt in a while. I just kinda got burned out on it. I've been taking tons of pictures though so I'll have enough to last through the winter to edit XD But hopefully I'll be back on here and with a vengeance. I've started classes again and moved in to a new apartment/townhouse which I mostly love. Unfortunately I'm living with two girls who absolutely hate each others guts but I get along with both of them so it gets slightly exhausting. But anyways I'm taking my first ever photography class and I'm mostly loving it except I have to use a SLR camera and shoot on manual...I don't have an SLR camera. However for my first assignment my father made me use one of his film cameras. I used one (of his 3) Minolta 101's. I adored using that camera but it was a pain in the ass on my pocket book. I spent 150$ on my first project by buying, developing, and printing film rolls, and I still have another 2 big assignments like it. I'm not working right now and I'm paying for my rent, clothes, food, and other necessities so it started freaking me out. But I finally convinced my dad to let me use his works office camera that has never been used even though they've had it for a year It is a Digital Nikon D80 and I haven't used it yet but I already love it. I can't wait to test this baby out!
Anyways hopefully I'll post some of the film camera's pics up here soon and then some of the Nikon's pics

EEEEEEKKK I'm uber excited :-D

Well I'm about to start work so my time on here will be limited sadly. I have been going out to take pictures a lot since schools been out and it feels wonderful. I now finally have a tripod (that's a super awesome one) which makes some things easier and some things harder to take pictures of but it gets rid of slightly shaky hand syndrome It's wonderful! So I have tons of pictures to edit/crop and some will make it to my gallery. I think I may try and clean up my deviations soon...if I feel like it. Oh! I'm going to be uploading some people portrait stuff (mostly of myself since I'm the only person who willingly models for me XD) so if you like me nature/flower stuff more so then I'm sorry but I will continue to intersperse a few nature shots amongst the portrait stuff. I hope that'll make everyone happy, including myself.
